Books we're reading:We've been so busy with how to check out books and the Book Fair that we've really just begun some fun books to read. Lately we've been reading The Shelf Elf, it teaches us about Library Rules and Mannners. It also teaches them about the Shelf Elf who lives here in our Library. His name is Scead and he loves to read! Especially letters from the students, he tries really hard to write back to them as soon as possible. He has his own mailbox here in the library.

Activities we're working on: We've been reviewing how to handle books, to check out books, and to decide if we like a book and want to take it home to read. Something different for 2nd graders is that they now get to keep the book until the next library day. Check what day your child has library and help them get their books back on time. It's a new thing for them to get used to. Thanks.
